float float persephone sink

i'm struggling but floating
i have decided to forgo capital letters. this says nothing about my intelligence. this post just doesn't need them. a professor has been really understanding lately and it helps so much to be on the receiving end of compassion from someone that isn't intrinsically connected to me. i wonder how much is too much to share with the internet. sometimes i want to say everything. but i'm so scared to say most things.
my dad alerted me to the album hadestown by anais mitchell, guest singers including justin vernon (bon iver), ani difranco and more. i honestly think you should just go purchase the album. i can't really decide which song i want to use to illustrate its greatness. it is a folk opera retelling of orpheus and euridyce. myths and art are pretty much my favorite thing. persephone is one of my favorite characters and she gets lots of singing. music drowns out the bad thoughts in my head- i've been listening nonstop since yesterday. here is a song. you had better listen to it.

  1. I love it when you can find professors that love their jobs and really actually care about their students well-being. It makes school, which–let's face it–sucks on a pretty consistent basis, much easier to handle.

Also, I listened to the song and it's so interesting. I love the concept of the album.

  2. I feel that way about capitals sometimes, too. Don't know why. Just happens... I hope you're doing well! Now that I'm off facebook, I've been very disconnected from the BF, but I'm trying to get back in the swing of things.
Listened to the song! Love it.
